Little water level house (Peilschaalhuisje) at Hindeloopen

The little water level house at Hindeloopen looks as if it has always been there. But it was gone for several decades. In 2016, a replica of the little water level house was rebuilt on the original foundations.

KNRM lifeboat station

De Kaai corn mill

Near the Lemster Gate you will also find De Kaai corn mill. The windmill stands on a bastion of the city walls, where it still grinds wheat into flour in the traditional and authentic manner. On Saturdays, the mill is open for viewing and flour sales.

Greonterp Bell Tower

The Greonterp bell tower was built in 1822. It consists of a square stone substructure, a pyramidal wooden superstructure, a bell chamber with baffled openings and a spire. There are similar bell towers in Hinnaard and Hartwerd.
