On Saturday, April 6th, the first birdwatching excursion from the Piaam Natural History Bird Museum will take place. For this birdwatching excursion, you can register individually. The departure time is 11:00 AM from Piaam. The cost is 5 euros, covering both the excursion and a visit to the museum.

In spring, the godwits gather here before nesting in the surrounding area. It is a beautiful area for meadow birds. If you're lucky, you may spot a Bluethroat or a bittern in the vast, swaying reeds. Even the sea eagle has found its place. Also new in the landscape are the graceful great egrets.

Piaam is just over the Afsluitdijk, and it takes about an hour and fifteen minutes by car from Amsterdam.
