The Apollo Ensemble reappears as a Baroque quartet, using instruments appropriate for that period. The ensemble consists of artistic director David Rabinovich on violin, Daphne Oltheten on violin, Thomas Oltheten on bassoon and dulcian, and Marion Boshuizen on harpsichord.
They will perform a program featuring Italian music from the Early Baroque (17th century) and High Baroque (18th century), a time when Italy was the cultural center of Europe. This program has already achieved great success worldwide, with a tour last year in Brazil. In addition to well-known names like Vivaldi and Corelli, it also includes music by composers such as Lotti, Besozzi, Veracini, and Vitali.
Admission is free with a collection afterward, with a suggested amount of €10.
