Smûk Tiny

At Smûk Tiny you experience life in miniature. Happiness lies in the little things and we know what to do with that. To give you the feeling of home in a tasty format, we have built a tiny house on the site.

With the familiar Scandinavian atmosphere and farm feeling, Smûk Tiny offers you the peace and quiet that is sometimes lacking at home. The house is equipped with nice warm duvets for ultimate comfort. On cold nights you can curl up next to Van Buuren's warm woolen hot water bottles.

The large window with a view over the meadows helps you to completely relax. Curl up on the terrace with a lovely plaid in front of the wood stove and enjoy being together. Smûk Tiny is a WiFi-free house, which is completely equipped to connect with each other and with yourself. There is a lot to do around the house. You can easily walk with your picnic basket to the Smûk beach, a beautiful piece of grass on the water with lovely beach chairs.

You can use the private hot tub at the Smûk Tiny. There is an electric sloop rental available. You walk through the flower meadow to the water, where there is a swimming ladder and beach chairs. Enjoy the water with the canoe, this is included. There are goats, chickens for fresh eggs and cows and horses in the meadow and you can buy fresh products in the on-site farm shop. In the farm barn you will find a cozy living room. Who would have thought that hay bales could be so stylish? The soft light bulbs hang playfully throughout the room. The farmhouse tables are perfect for an evening of gourmet dining or a game of Rummikub. The living room is a place where you can be together, but also where you can retreat and enjoy the peace that the old building radiates. Sometimes they drink a cup of coffee and children play in the children's kitchen. At other times it is quiet and you can relax in one of the vintage chairs for a lazy afternoon.

Location
Smûk offers you an outdoor holiday in the Frisian countryside. You will find the Smûk Hûske there; a hip and cozy house with a hot tub, the Smûk Tiny, a 2-person Tiny with a view over the meadow and the Smûk glamping tents. Enjoy a relaxing holiday on the farm.

A short walk through the landscape between the cows will take you to the jetty at Pier Christiaansloot, where the electric boats and canoes are moored. You walk along this canal to the village of Echtenerbrug/Delfstrahuizen where there is a beach on the Tjeukemeer. From the farm you can easily sail into the beautiful Frisian lake area. Including Sloten, Lemmer and Langweer or across the Tjonger. Discover the unspoilt nature of the Weerribben and the Rottige Meente, a beautiful walking and cycling area. The Orchid Farm is highly recommended, with its butterfly garden, Alpacas and indoor playground for the children. Be sure to visit the town of Lemmer, a cozy center with nice terraces and nice shops. You can reach Leeuwarden in 45 minutes, where you can do more extensive shopping, climb the Oldenhove tower or visit the Nature or Frisian museum.

That's possible, Musical De Tocht is a Dutch and Frisian theater show that tells you the impressive story of five skating friends. They have lost sight of each other over the years. They used to agree that if The Tour ever takes place, they will finish it together. It's an impressive and unique experience if you ask us!

We understand that you do not want to leave our beautiful province immediately after seeing the musical. So stay with us in the Smûk Tiny (2 persons) or Smûk Huske (4 persons) and discover all the beauty that Fryslân has to offer!

Smûk is a 40-minute drive to the Friso Theater in Leeuwarden. The Tour runs every Wednesday to Sunday until January 31, 2024. Package 'the Tour' We have put together a special (free) package for this beautiful musical. What could be better suited to the Elfstedentocht than a nice, 'kâld kletske'. Afterwards you drive to Smûk and there will be a 'kâld kletske' with an accompanying glass in the house. This way you can enjoy and chat about this great spectacle!
