Sint Nyk
From Joure, head towards Sint Nicolaasga. On the way, you'll pass the village of Scharsterbrug. In Sint Nyk (as the Frisians call it), cycle along the beautiful Roman Catholic St. Nicolaasga Church. The church is a neo-Gothic cross basilica from 1887 and was designed by the Frisian architect Jan Doedes van der Weide, a student of the famous Cuypers.
From Sint Nicolaasga, cycle back to Langweer via Finkeburen and the Legemeesterweg.
If you want to shorten the route a bit, at junction 55, don't continue straight to Sint Nyk but turn right towards the main road (Huisterheide). Then, cycle back to Langweer via the Langwarderdyk. This will save you about 15 to 20 minutes.
