Final of the Strongest Man of the Netherlands

On Sunday 12 July 2026, the Marktplein in Bolsward will be the setting for the grand final of the Strongest Man of the Netherlands. During this 38th edition, twelve finalists will compete for the title of strongest man in the country.

The participants have qualified through preliminary rounds and will compete against each other in a series of impressive events. These include truck pulling, Atlas Stones, log and car lifting, deadlifts and various loading and carrying events. Strength, technique and perseverance come together in this spectacular competition.

The event is one of the longest running sports programmes on Dutch television and attracts many visitors every year. In collaboration with Ondernemend Bolsward, the city centre will be transformed into an impressive competition arena where visitors can experience this unique sport up close.
