Join this culinary experience. The eel arrangement starts in Woudsend. From here you sail to Gaastmeer and visit Fryske fisker Andries van Netten. He tells you all about his work as an eel farmer and about how eel smoking works. There is the possibility to taste and buy freshly smoked eel. Afterwards, while enjoying an eel sandwich, you will experience a boat trip on the Frisian Lakes and then return to Woudsend.

10 a.m.: Reception 10.15 am: Cast off and across the Frisian lakes towards Gaastmeer. Drinks can be ordered during the cruise. 11.15 am: Halfway through the cruise we moor in the harbor of Gaastmeer and we are welcomed by 'Fryske fisker' Andries van Netten 11.30 am: Andries talks about eel fishing and eel smoking. Here is the opportunity to taste and buy the freshly smoked eel 12.30 pm: After the visit to Andries van Netten we get back on board and while enjoying an eel sandwich and a cold drink we sail over the Heegermeer, the Fluessen and through the Rakken towards Woudsend. 1.30 pm: Return to the harbor of Woudsend. While enjoying our 'mooring boat', we talk on board about the experiences of the day 1:45 p.m.: Closing. Optionally you can have a drink on board

We only sail in conditions that are attractive to the guests on board. If necessary, we will look together for the right solution for a sailing trip with pleasant conditions. Sail Events Friesland offers an excellent catering service on board during the cruise. We have put together various packages in collaboration with local entrepreneurs. Before, during or after the cruise we can provide breakfast, coffee table, lunch, tasting, drink or dinner. Thanks to our many options, we are able to meet all your wishes. Feel free to contact us for the possibilities regarding catering and any dietary requirements. Based on this, we like to think along with you and put together a tailor-made package.

Location
Location of the ship: Waechswal (behind the Spar). In the harbor of Woudsend. You can park your car at Lynbaen 15 in Woudsend.

Important to know
The ship is open fifteen minutes before departure. There will only be sailing if the weather conditions allow it. The cruise will continue if at least 4 people are registered. The maximum number of people is 13. For more than 13 people, please contact us at 06-23 28 4719 or info@saileventsfriesland.nl. If you book with more than 10 people, please also contact Sail Events Friesland. The price per person will then be € 82.50.

It is recommended that you wear sneakers, windbreaker and sunglasses, sun cap/hat and sunscreen. Optionally - weather permitting - you can bring your swimsuit and a towel.
