Bridges along the route
This route includes several concrete culverts (low tunnels). Only small boats such as canoes, SUPs and (electric) sloops can pass through. For current bridge clearance info, check the Brugtijden page.

Sustainable boating
This route is best experienced quietly, by electric boat, canoe or SUP — so you can enjoy the sounds of nature, like birds in the reeds. If you see litter along the way, please bring it on board. Learn more about sustainable boating in Friesland.

Mooring options
There are various mooring spots along the route. You’ll find free Marrekrite nature moorings — for example, on the small island in the Oudegaaster Brekken. There is also a guest harbour in Oudega SWF.

Waterway classification
Part of this route requires passing under low culverts. That means your boat must be no more than 2.50 m wide, 1.25 m high and have a maximum draught of 0.80 m. This section is classified as waterway type F. The open lake sections of the route can also be sailed with larger boats.
