You will find this spacious traditional Frisian farmhouse on the river Luts. In a quiet place you can enjoy with your family or friends. There is a spacious kitchen with a large dining table. The kitchen has modern equipment, such as a combi microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and of course sufficient kitchen inventory. In the former milk cellar, the cozy sitting room is situated with a spacious corner sofa and several comfortable chairs. You will also find the spacious bathroom with a lovely large bath, a separate shower and a double sink and a separate toilet with urinal on the ground floor. You go up 5 steps to the upstairs room where you will find the first bedroom. On the first floor are 4 bedrooms with 2 single box-spring beds in each room. In total there are 10 comfortable box-spring beds. One of the 4 bedrooms on the first floor has a bunk bed for 2 extra people. This offers space for 12 people. There is also a second bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. Outside you have a spacious garden with terrace at your disposal. Here you have the opportunity to barbecue on the terrace or even rent a hot tub! There is a large playing field with swings and a large trampoline for the children. Because the holiday home is spacious, you can also stay in this accommodation in bad weather. So: book and pack and off to Ruigahuizen.

What makes this accommodation special

There are various recreational and sporting activities that you can undertake in the beautiful surroundings of the holiday home. This is because the holiday home is surrounded by water, lakes and forests. You look out from the holiday home on the special river De Luts. This river is characterized by being part of one of the Eleven Cities Routes. You can even fish in this river. From the beautiful Gaasterland you are within walking distance of the village of Balk. Around Balk you can enjoy cycling, walking, sailing, golfing or canoeing. In addition to these activities, we rent out a hot tub and a lounge boat. The lounge boat is located on the jetty of the holiday home. For the children there is a versatile and large playing field (20 x 15 m) with swings and a trampoline around the house, where they can have fun. After a day full of activities, you can turn on the barbecue in the evening and enjoy together.

Pay attention! The pricing is based on 6 people. This is also the minimum number of paying people for the rental of the holiday home. If you stay overnight with more than 6 people, you pay € 15.00 per extra person per night (with a minimum of 3 nights) in addition to the basic rent. You will find this converted traditional Frisian farmhouse in a quiet location on the river Luts. The town of Ruigahuizen is located next to the lively village of Balk. A stone's throw away you will find nice shops, various supermarkets and restaurants. Ruigahuizen is located in Gaasterland, which is known for its rolling and wooded landscape. In the neighborhood you can visit Laaksum; the smallest fishing port in Europe, the Mirnserklif, one of the Frisian Eleven Cities or you can walk on the beach of Lemmer. The holiday home is ideally located for cycling, hiking and boating. At the holiday home you board a canoe and make a beautiful trip on the Luts. Due to the unique location of the holiday home, you can enjoy peace, space and freedom during your holiday, while still being able to take advantage of all the handy facilities and possibilities of the village of Balk. We live on the Luts, from where you immediately leave to sail to the lakes with the Lounge boat (for rent). Our house is located on the Sint Odulphuspad (a walking route). The walking and cycling possibilities are unlimited. But also cozy shopping on the terrace at the house or in Balk is one of the possibilities.
