On Thursday 16 July, the centre of Makkum is all about the Jaarmarkt Makkum Centrum. From 11:00 to 18:00, visitors can enjoy a friendly market with around 60 stalls, spread throughout the village centre.

The annual market is organised in cooperation with the Makkum shopkeepers’ association and takes place at the same time as the fair. This brings plenty of activity to the centre and creates a lively summer atmosphere. During this period, many tourists stay in and around Makkum, which means the market attracts many visitors every year.

At the market you will find a varied selection of products, ranging from fashion and accessories to homeware, toys, jewellery and other market goods. Visitors can take their time browsing the stalls, shopping and enjoying the lively atmosphere in the centre.
