From Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 August 2026, Langweer celebrates the Langwarder Merke, the village festival of the year. Four days filled with parades, games, sailing races, music and a fair for all ages.

Langweer’s village festival returns from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 August 2026. Traditionally, the Merke starts on Thursday morning at 10:00 with the parade. The parade is held again on Friday evening at 20:15.

During the four days, there are many activities, including various games, Petsjebâljen, an afternoon for children, sailing races, a street quiz, musical chairs and beach volleyball. In the evening, the Buorren is full of atmosphere with live music and other music.

The fair runs throughout the Merke at the old harbour, with a swing ride, merry go round, tug of war, shooting games and grab machines. More information and the full programme during the Merke can be found on the Facebook page of Volksvermaken.
