In a former café you will find Linda van der Waal's living room studio, with beautiful light through the large characteristic windows. A wonderful place to draw, I can sit there for days.
Drawing is her passion, (hyper) realistic and she can get completely absorbed in it. You will find portraits of animals and people hanging in the studio. And there is always a story behind each drawing. There are drawings for which Linda has received great prizes or recognition. One of her works also hung in the Rijksmuseum for a number of months, with 'Long Live Rembrandt'. To this day she is still very proud of it, just like the Talter Culture Prize.
In addition to selling her own work, Linda also draws on commission with the use of pictures. If you are visiting Workum, feel free to come and have a look at Súd 34. Wolkom yn Warkum.
