This new group accommodation can be booked from June 2023. De Zwarte Specht is suitable for families of up to 14 people. There are five bedrooms in total, four of which are suitable for two people and the fifth bedroom is suitable for six people. There are also four bathrooms, each with a shower and sink. There is a spacious living room with a fully equipped kitchen and an adjoining nice terrace where you can enjoy the outdoors on sunny days. The children can use the large playground next to the group accommodation. If the weather is not so good, the children can play in the BosSpeelhuis.

The accommodations of Groepsaccommodation Appelscha are beautifully situated in the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. There are four group accommodations in total, three of them; 't Reidtèk and the Bonte- en Zwarte Specht (can also be linked) are located on the grounds of Boscamping Appelscha. Group accommodation Nijsingh is separate and has its own grounds, which groups have entirely to themselves. Both areas have a large playground with an air trampoline and a sports field. The accommodations located on the Boscamping also have a petting zoo and a beautiful indoor playground with a ball pit. So that the children can enjoy themselves even when the weather is not so nice
