This B&B room is located in the former hayloft and has been recently renovated. The room is light and spacious, with old details visible such as the beams. The large windows offer a beautiful view over the countryside. The room is suitable for four people, there is a box-spring bed with two single mattresses and the sofa can be folded out into a comfortable sofa bed. You have a private bathroom with a shower, toilet and double sinks.
Breakfast is served in the recreation room, which you can use during your stay. You can make your own cup of coffee or tea (or in the room) and the fridge is for general use. There is also a billiards table in the room! Breakfast is included in your reservation and you also get paper bags to make a packed lunch. The breakfast is vegetarian.
Due to stairs, the accommodation is less suitable for guests with mobility issues.

View B&B Gaasterland-Hoeve 44B&B Gaasterland-Hoeve is located in the charming village of Wijckel, between Balk and Sloten. It is surrounded by several towns such as Oudemirdum, Rijs, and Harich. The area is called Gaasterland, known for its rolling landscape, centuries-old forests, lakes, and rivers. B&B Gaasterland-Hoeve is located directly on the 11-steden route (Eleven Cities Route) and is the ideal base for an overnight stay while walking, running, and/or cycling these beautiful routes. This is Gaasterland-Hoeve This beautiful building, well-known in Friesland and dating back to 1956, has always been a semi-detached farmhouse and served as a cow insemination station until 1968. In the past, the cows and bulls grazed in the front garden and were milked in the stables. The stables were located at the back, and the laboratory was located upstairs. The former original entrance to the AI Station Gaasterland-Hoeve serves as the entrance to the B&B. This front door, visible from the road, used to be the entrance to the AI Station. Now, on the first floor, Bed & Breakfast Gaasterland-Hoeve offers two beautiful rooms with a communal area. Superaardige gastvrouw & -heer; dagelijks zeer uitgebreid ontbijt met vers fruit, smoothie etc. En ook niet onbelangrijk: goede koffie in kamer. Lekkere douche!
De kamer is sfeervol ingericht en in tweeën gedeeld door oude balken; zo is er een zit- en slaapgedeelte. Het ontbijt was erg goed en uitgebreid; iedere ochtend een verrassinkje. De B&B ligt op fietsafstand van de stadjes Sloten en Balk. Het sanitair is nieuw en mooi!
