Unique! Come spend the night with a fantastic view. The name 'Aqua' is a nod to the water reservoir, which was the previous function of the water tower. The room consists of a spacious living room with a minibar, facilities to make a cup of coffee/tea and a bathroom with a shower, toilet and bath. By means of a staircase you reach the loft where the comfortable double box-spring bed is. The large windows offer a beautiful panoramic view of the Frisian countryside and the Frisian lake area.
What makes this accommodation special
The room can be reached by elevator, but the last part has to be done by stairs. The room is therefore less suitable for disabled people.

Unique! That is the best way to describe this water tower hotel. The name says it all, this hotel is located in a former water tower. There are two rooms in the hotel, 'Aqua' and 'Turrem'. Both chambers are located in what used to be the water reservoir. Because you are at a great height (the tower is 41m high!) you have a beautiful view all around. On clear days you can see for miles!

This hotel, realized in a former water tower, is located in Nes, the twin village of Akkrum. Akkrum has a supermarket, bakery and several restaurants. You can reach picturesque villages such as Terherne and Grou in no time by car. The eleven-city city of Sneek can be reached by car in less than half an hour. Due to its location on the water, and the possibility to rent a (sailing) boat in Akkrum, you can also explore the area from the water.
