Welcome to our accommodation! Step inside our welcoming entrance, complete with toilets, cloakroom and handy storage space for sailing suits and life jackets. The living room invites you with a cozy sitting area, surrounded by comfortable wooden benches, an attractive bar and a spacious dining area. Behind the bar there are four bedrooms, two showers and an extra toilet. The open kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a six-burner stove with oven, a professional dishwasher, a microwave and coffee maker. For extra convenience, there is a separate warehouse with two refrigerators and a freezer. Outside you can relax on the terrace and enjoy the playing field behind the farm.

On the first floor, a balustrade welcomes you with two double bedrooms, a shower room, two toilets, two six-person rooms and a five-person room, as well as two additional showers. A corridor leads to a four- and a double room, a shower and toilet. You will also find a five-person room with its own shower and toilet. On the second floor there is a five-person room with shower and toilet.

Located on the edge of the village of Balk, near the scenic Luts waterway and in close proximity to the Slotermeer, it offers an ideal base for water sports activities such as sailing, canoeing and SUPing. Since 1990, together with my husband Peter Keus, I welcome many guests every year to introduce them to Friesland and sailing. In the meantime, I have acquired a lot of knowledge about the landscape and the history of our area and I like to share that with our guests.

Tips from the owner

Directly from the accommodation you can board the boat for a sailing trip to various nice Frisian villages and towns on the water. With the canoe you can sail down the Luts towards the Gaasterland forest. Along the way you have a chance to spot kingfishers, among other things.
