Beautiful floating holiday home on a private island! The sleeping area features a double bed measuring 140×200 cm, which can be closed off with sliding doors for extra privacy. Bedside lamps and a handy hanging storage compartment make it a cosy and practical space. The second bedroom features a bunk bed measuring 80×200 cm, and all beds have storage drawers for extra convenience. The lounge offers panoramic views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows that bring nature inside as a backdrop. A comfortable Artifort sofa invites you to relax, while a movable table is suitable for both dining and other purposes. The kitchen is fully equipped and efficiently organised. A built-in fridge freezer, mini hob and integrated sink make cooking easy. The clever storage system offers plenty of space thanks to the 25×25 storage system, combined with drawers and under-counter cupboards. The bathroom, although compact, is fully equipped with a comfortable shower, a small sink and a flushable toilet. Everything is designed to make the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible, while still focusing on nature in all its splendor.

With a focus on circularity, the float is built from as many natural materials as possible, so that the ecological footprint is kept to a minimum. The space is thoughtfully divided and offers comfort and functionality in every corner.

Important to know

Upon arrival in Hemelum, a skipper will take you to the KONGA float that is already moored on the island. If you would like, we can arrange for a filled refrigerator in consultation. So that you can start relaxing right away and you don't have to worry about forgetting something.
The boat is suitable for two adults, with or without 2 children. Because the island belongs to our sailing school, we thought it was ideal for parents who don't want to sit too far away from their children. (or vice versa) and at the same time be able to watch their offspring's progress from a distance. But this is absolutely not a must. The float is certainly also a get away for total relaxation.
What the boat and the island are not suitable for are parties. Amplified music outside is not allowed anyway, not even during the day. Sound carries very far on the water and we also grant other recreationists on the lake the peace and quiet.

On a truly unique location, namely your own private island, you will find the KONGA float! Enjoy the water, the birds and especially peace and space. In the summer you look out over the many passing boats and sailing boats. In the evening you sit under the starry sky at the campfire enjoying the peace that Friesland can bring. During the day you sup over the water, grab a fishing rod, swim from the swimming jetty or rent a sailing boat at the sailing school in the village.

My husband and I developed this KONGA float especially for our island in the lake Morra. From our sailing school we wanted to create a get away for everyone who wants to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a few days. And we succeeded. You really feel like you are in another world, where time does not matter, but where you can relax in all comfort.

Tips from the owner

From the float you can sail, paddle board, swim, fish or do nothing at all. If you stay for a week, we can also sail you to other places. But realize... the float is slow travel. If you want to leave the island for a day, you have your own "dingy" or tender at your disposal and you can be back on dry land in 20 minutes.
