Brewing beer with a passion for both the product and the city of Sneek forms the foundation of Stadsbrouwerij Sneek. The brewery creates its own recipes and prefers to use ingredients that have a connection to Sneek and the surrounding region.
The mission is simple: bringing people together and contributing to a vibrant community in Sneek. On the first Friday of every month, the brewery opens its doors for an evening of locally brewed beer, good company and unique experiences.
The story began with a simple question: what is Sneek still missing? The answer was a city brewery. What started as Bierbrouwerij De Waterpoart evolved into Stadsbrouwerij Sneek. With support from Grand Café De Walrus, the brewers found a place to develop and test their creations.
Affectionately known as “the nursery”, this space became the birthplace of new beer recipes. Today, it has grown into a fully operational microbrewery where visitors can discover beers brewed with pride and a strong connection to the city.
