New to the fleet is the Delphia 10 Lounge. This vessel sails fully electrically and silently thanks to the Torqeedo drive. Charging is easy via shore power in the harbor, ensuring you depart worry-free every day.
The cockpit and saloon form one open living space, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors to the fullest while sailing and docking. Inside, there is a spacious sleeping cabin with a double bed. Additionally, there is a generous wet room with an electric toilet and shower, and a separate work or office space on the port side. Thanks to the low air draft, you can easily navigate through a large part of Friesland.

The location is the ideal base for exploring the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea and the Frisian lakes by boat. Within five minutes of sailing you are already on the IJsselmeer and you can make the most beautiful sailing and boating trips.

Tornado Yachting is located on the outskirts of Makkum. The marina is situated between several other marinas, and there is ample parking for your car. In the immediate vicinity of the marina, there are a number of restaurants located within a maximum walking distance of 2 kilometers. The center of the village of Makkum can also be reached in less than two kilometers on foot. Here you will find a supermarket, bakery, and various other shops and restaurants. In the immediate vicinity of the marina, there is a small nature reserve where you can take a pleasant walk.

Tornado Sailing Makkum B.V., trading as Tornado Yachting, was established in 1992 through the merger of five Sneek yacht charter companies: Van der Meulen, Moed, Frisia Yachtcharter, Tornado Yachting, and Gessport. This merger immediately established Tornado Yachting as a leading player in Frisian watersports, with a large customer base and a modern rental fleet.
To meet the growing demand for larger charter vessels, we moved to our current location in Makkum in 2007. Here, in a unique location overlooking the IJsselmeer, the Frisian Lakes, and the Wadden Sea, we were able to further develop our quality, innovation, and service.
In 2012, I, Jurre-Jan Muurling, took over Tornado Yachting. At the time, the rental fleet consisted of six boats, and the focus was on selling Delphia Yachts. We have since grown into a full-service watersports company.
