Nynke's Pleats offers spacious group accommodation for up to 20 people, with a beautiful large hall with bar on the ground floor and a spacious stable furnished as a living room with several seating areas. The many French doors provide access to the terraces around the farm, the flower meadow and the orchard, so you can optimally enjoy nature and the view. On the upper floor of the thatched barn there are 9 comfortable bedrooms, some with a private bathroom, some with luxurious shared sanitary facilities and a sauna.

What makes this accommodation special

For extra relaxation, there is a sauna. All beds are made up with hotel linen before arrival. The space also offers the possibility for meetings or family dinners. There is a large kitchen and a bar that can also be used by caterers. It is often possible to arrive earlier (standard check-in 16:00) or leave later (standard check-out 12:00) for an additional fee. Together with Vera I have restored and renovated the entire farm with much love and energy into a beautiful combination of old and modern. We hope that our guests can enjoy this as much as we do.

Tips from the owner

The spacious guest house is located on the edge of a quiet terp village with wide views over the Frisian countryside. With a 2-minute walk you are on the IJsselmeerdijk and you look out over the bird area Makkummersudwaard and of course the IJsselmeer! It is possible to rent bicycles in Makkum. A visit to one of the many beautiful Frisian cities nearby, such as Workum, Bolsward, Harlingen and Franeker, is certainly worth it.
