The Gaasterlandse forests and cliffs are easy to reach by bike, as are three other authentic Eleven Cities towns: Hindeloopen, Workum and Sloten. Here you will find both well-known and lesser-known museums. Sneek and the Frisian capital Leeuwarden are also easy to reach by train. Camping Súdermeer is an ideal base for discovering the water-rich culture and nature of Southwest Friesland.
The campsite has a direct connection to Marina Stavoren Binnenhaven, where you will find an indoor swimming pool, a watersports shop with supermarket section, a small fitness room, an outdoor play area, an indoor playroom and eetcafé/bar Skippers Inn. During the high season, Skippy de Skipper organises various activities for children. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite.
Camping Súdermeer also offers camper pitches. These are located in a beautiful spot outside the dike and close to the IJsselmeer, near Marina Stavoren Buitenhaven and opposite Strandpaviljoen De Potvis.
