Interactive treasure hunt for children through the Elfbergen forest in Gaasterland.

Unravel the centuries old legend by writer Mindert Wijnstra. With an activity booklet in hand, you set off in search of hidden clues and special objects along the way. As you play, you learn more about the forests of Gaasterland and practise skills such as reading comprehension, teamwork and problem solving. Suitable for children aged 10 and over.

The activity booklet is available from Mar & Klif Visitor Centre in Oudemirdum. Please check the visitor centre’s opening hours before you go. You can find more information about the booklet here. At the visitor centre, they can tell you exactly where the Secret of Elfbergen trail starts and how to get there.
