On Saturday 3 October, the city of Sneek will once again be filled with musicians from all over the country during the 14th edition of the Sneeker Dweildag. The bands can be found at:
- Marktstraat
- Wijde Burgstraat
- Scharnestraat, Weduwe Joustra Steeg, wrong note contest and free performance location
- Schaapmarktplein
- 1e Oosterkade, Café ’t Ouwe Vat, free performance location
In a short time, the Sneeker Dweildag has grown into one of the most important brass band days in the Netherlands. The bands come from all over the country and compete in two classes: the Fun Class and the Competition Class.
In the morning, all musicians gather on the Marktstraat, where they can catch up over a cup of coffee and a biscuit. The Sneeker Dweildag opens around 12:00. After that, the bands perform at the five locations in the city.
In the afternoon, the final programme starts on the Marktstraat at 16:45.
