Upstairs, there's a dormitory for eight, furnished with five box beds and three box-spring beds, plus a separate bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom is equipped with two showers, a sink, and a toilet. Downstairs, you'll find a large classroom with a kitchen, bar, and sitting area, where the original blackboard and authentic school accessories enhance the nostalgic atmosphere. Outside, you can enjoy the renovated garden, complete with a lounge set, two picnic tables, and a covered area. A large Weber BBQ is available for a cozy meal. The grounds offer plenty of space to relax, with a soccer field and playground nearby.

The owners of Kloesewier are Hans and Akkeliene. Hans grew up in Zevenaar, but left Zevenaar for Groningen in 2004 to study there. Hans and Akkeliene met during their studies. Akkeliene is a true Frisian and knows the area like the back of her hand.

Together and separately, the couple has traveled the world over the past decades to destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Nicaragua, Uganda, Georgia, the Baltic States, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Ukraine, the Faroe Islands, India, and Cambodia. In recent years, they have traveled extensively with their young children in a campervan through Spain and Sicily.

Sometimes you have to travel far to truly appreciate what's close by. That's why they started a small-scale group accommodation in Friesland. Here, they strive to recreate the relaxed atmosphere they themselves always appreciate on their travels.
