For more than 100 years, around 15,000 cyclists have taken part in the Eleven Cities Cycling Tour on Whit Monday. This 235-kilometre route starts and finishes in Bolsward, taking participants through all eleven historic Frisian cities.
In the city centre, you will find the office where the organising committee meets to prepare this iconic event. As you stroll through Bolsward, keep an eye out for the decorative bicycle-themed elements on the bridges crossing the city's canals, a tribute to this unique cycling tradition.
