Do you value a sustainable holiday? Then this self-built biobased tiny house is the perfect place for you! This house offers space for four people and has a double bed on the mezzanine and a bunk bed in a separate bedroom. The real camping feeling is preserved: the shower and toilet are within walking distance in the luxury sanitary building of the campsite, where you can also get water with a jerry can. Outside you can relax on the lawn, where a garden set is ready for you. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, gas hob and all the necessary pots, pans and cutlery for four people. Thanks to the natural materials you can enjoy a healthy and pleasant indoor climate here.

Take a refreshing dip in the ecological swimming pond or let the children play in the mini playground with swing, slide and trampoline. You can spend the night in special accommodations at a versatile location near Workum. In the farm you will find a number of B&B rooms with a beautiful view and comfortable beds. In the yard behind the farm is not only a camping site, but also various accommodations. For example, you can spend the night in a VW bus cabin, hiker's cabin, gypsy wagon or retro caravan. This way there is always an accommodation to your taste or wish. Whatever accommodation you stay in, the sanitary facilities are always close by and have been completely (sustainably) renovated in 2022. You will also find a washing machine and dryer in the covered outdoor kitchen. The terrain is open and green and you can practice bombs in the ecological swimming pool! Around the pool is a wide jetty where you have plenty of space to relax or sunbathe. A delicious Frysk breakfast is served every morning and in the evening you can order fresh pizzas from the cozy canteen. Every Saturday evening there is a large fire next to the canteen for grilling and chilling.

Camping Welgelegen is centrally located in Southwest Friesland between Workum and Hindeloopen. It is the perfect base to discover Friesland! On the camping site you will find a natural swimming pool next to the old orchard, here you can swim between beautiful aquatic plants. In addition, there are go-karts, children's bicycles and scooters available at the campsite! If you want to learn kitesurfing or wingfoiling, that is also possible; A kite school is located on the site of the campsite, from where you can take lessons at the kite spots Mirns, Workum, Hindeloopen or Kornwerd, all close to the campsite! You can also discover the area by Sup, canoe or Longboard, which can be rented at the campsite. Furthermore, camping and b&b Welgelegen is a great starting point for many cycling and walking routes from junction 19.

Welgelegen is a real family business. Hostess Cobie runs the campsite together with her two sons Ryan and Ian. The two friends of the boys also help when there is a lot of crowds.
In addition, Cobie's brother works full-time at the campsite. Welgelegen has the slogan "WELL SIGNED BRINGS US ALL TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD VIBE!." The eldest son Ryan has written a song about this which you can find on Youtube. It reflects the atmosphere of the campsite.

Welgelegen offers many opportunities to explore the area. you can make beautiful cycling and walking tours. but you can also explore the area in a different way, for example by canoe, sup or longboard. Visit Hindeloopen across the water and moor at the skating museum. Or go flying with a kite on the IJsselmeer.
after an action-packed day you can enjoy a drink or a delicious pizza in the canteen.
and don't forget to spoil yourself with a delicious Frisian breakfast in the secret garden, where you can imagine yourself in a Frisian Mediterranean atmosphere.
