The house is tucked away in the heart of the village and offers plenty of privacy. The secluded courtyard enjoys plenty of afternoon sun, making it pleasantly warm early in spring and late in autumn. There's a cozy seating area, a gas pizza oven, and a small barbecue. The spacious, bright loft offers a relaxing spot with a flat-screen TV with Ziggo and a Sonos system. Toys and comics are available for children.
The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove with oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. A Nespresso machine and kettle are also provided. Enjoy breakfast or work undisturbed at the kitchen table. Dine in the beautifully restored dining room with its original box beds and wood carvings, where past and present converge in a unique atmosphere. The antique chess table invites you to a game of chess.

On the ground floor, there's a historic bedroom with a double bed (180x200 cm) and a spacious bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink. The upstairs loft room has two double beds, one 180x210 cm and the other 180x200 cm, separated by a partition. There's also a spacious walk-in shower and a sink. Clean bed linens and a towel are provided for each person.
What makes this accommodation special
The feeling of staying and spending the night in a fully restored national monument is truly special. The beautiful fireplaces, Delftware tiles, and traditional colors offer an almost museum-like experience. At the same time, the house is fully equipped and furnished with inspiring, contemporary art and design objects. Silhûs is a unique blend of past and present, history and modern comfort!

Tips from the owner
Woudsend is a vibrant village with plenty of restaurants and cafes and a lively atmosphere. On the corner near the bridge, you'll find De Watersport with a pleasant terrace. At the sports harbor, you'll find De Pleats, a café with a lively atmosphere. 't Ponkje is highly recommended: a delicious dinner in a historic church. The fresh cuisine at Vis en Meer is also highly recommended. In Balk, beach club Badmeester Keimpe is a favorite. Heeg, Sneek, and historic Sloten are just around the corner and also worth a visit. In summer, the village hosts a weekly farmers' market, the SKS and IFKS skûtsjesilen (SKS and IFKS skûtsjesailing) takes place, and numerous activities are organized in and around the village. Even in the winter months, there's plenty to do in Woudsend, but you can also enjoy the peace and quiet.
