This apartment is located in the former upstairs room of a stately building. The upstairs room was originally used to receive visitors and as a Sunday room. The apartment has an original ceiling with beautiful carvings. You sleep in a mahogany bed of 140x200 meters with a comfortable mattress. In the apartment you have access to a pantry with a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. You also have your own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. You can enjoy the weather on the roof terrace.
Location
The apartments are located in the cozy village center of Balk, on the Luts. This river is part of the Elfstedenroute! Various shops and restaurants are located within walking distance of the apartments and the Slotermeer (1.5 km) is also a stone's throw away. Balk is located on the edge of the beautiful Gaasterland, a nature reserve that is ideally suited for cycling and walking tours.
Special about this accommodation
It Bûterhûs is a daytime activity location for people with an intellectual disability. On the ground floor is the coffee and tea room (with lunch), gift shop and VVV information point.

- Minimum age: 20 years.
- The apartments are accessible by stairs.
- We do not charge a cleaning fee, but expect the apartment to be left tidy.
- You can open the garden door with the key, which can be reached from the street: the Oper.
- You can park your bicycles in the back of the garden.
- There is a charging point for bicycles.
- It is possible to use the garden.
- You can park your car for free near the water, between the trees, opposite the location or elsewhere in the village.
