The Jopie Huisman Museum is dedicated to the life and work of the Frisian self-taught master painter Jopie Huisman. His love of nature and his compassion are a recurrent theme. From the beginning, Jopie Huisman’s predominantly realistic work has attracted a broad and extensive public with whom the philosophic power of his art resonates. The museum has welcomed over two million visitors since its foundation in 1986.Â
