Interactive treasure hunt for children aged 8 to 10 through the Elfbergen forest in Gaasterland.

The Forest Animals Trail is a nature trail for children aged 8 to 10 in the Elfbergen forest near Oudemirdum. With an activity booklet in hand, you spend around 1.5 hours on the trail. Along the way, you will come across wooden sculptures of animals that live in the forest. Each sculpture has a question or activity. Can you solve the puzzle?

The booklet is available from Mar & Klif Visitor Centre in Oudemirdum. Please check the visitor centre’s opening hours before you go. You can find more information about the booklet here. The cost is €4. At the visitor centre, they can tell you exactly where the Forest Animals Trail starts and how to get there.
