Time travel through the Zuiderzee

Take a journey through time through various settlements on the former Zuiderzee with cheerful guide Yde.

You board an old FRAM bus from 1971 and embark on a tour full of stories. Along the way, you will hear how the former islands of Urk and Schokland changed and how the largest land reclamation project of that era came about. You will also drive past vast bulb fields and through old Zuiderzee towns and villages such as Lemmer, Kuinre, and Blokzijl. It is an afternoon full of historical stories and surprising anecdotes.

Start: Jetze Veldstraweg 46A, Ouwsterhaule (National Public Transport Museum). Ample free parking is available.

Important to know
Please arrive at the vintage bus fifteen minutes in advance so that you can find a seat at your leisure and the bus can depart on time at 12:30.

The price includes coffee, tea, and a real local treat along the way.
