Gurbe Douwstra turns 70! And he likes to celebrate that with his audience. The Drachtster singer-songwriter will throw a birthday party full of music on Sunday, February 11 in the Hobbe van Baerdt Church in Joure. With well-known old songs and of course new songs, accompanied by tasty anecdotes. Douwstra looks back and forward. Is it all true or is it exaggerated every now and then? Do the stories gradually become stronger or more personal? The tone, as is the case at parties, becomes increasingly melancholy. But the zest for life of this newly seventy-year-old is never far away.
Together with bassist Johannes Adema and multi-instrumentalist Jan de Vries, this will be an unforgettable party with laughter and tears. And everyone is welcome!
